FORD ESCORT Cabriolet 1.6 CVH FORD ESCORT Cabriolet 1.6 CVH 1988 Ford Escort Cabriolet the vehicle is a near originial as you can get in two tone Blue & Silver, Yes there are a few little rust spots but all in all excellant condition for the year. The vehicle has been dry stored for the last two and a half years, this was due to 107 miles after purchase the cam belt snapped which in turn damaged the exhaust valves, this ended up a project restoration for me as it had a few owners and they all done a little bit I have replaced new front pads & Discs removed rear drums and adjusted rear brakes replaced both front lower arms all the brakes and suspension are in Excellant order. I then went on to remove the cylinder head and in turn replaced all valves, water pump, and cambelt.Completing a full engine tune all genuine Ford parts were used, this was due to me having 25 years experience as a Ford trained technician. Its got a power hood that works fine and the 15 inch alloys sets it off a treat (I do have the originial doglegs) and they are in good condition. This year alone I have spent over 50 hrs just tidying it up trawling scrap yards & e,bay finding good quality bits I have not concentrated on the stereo system as i feel this is personal choice so as such a stereo is not included Its a great buy for someone who is looking for a cheap 5 seat Cabriolet I have had some great fun in it and it always turns heads when its out and about.
